109 South Jefferson
Washington and Lee's dance studio is located at 109 South Jefferson Avenue, the former print shop for the Lexington News-Gazette. The studio is rigged permanently for aerial dance, making silk ropes, harnesses and bungees available to the dancers at any time. A special sprung floor makes it safer for dancers to move and jump repetitively without being hurt. Double-sided mirrors split the room in half so that two dance classes can be held at the same time.
Also included in 109 S. Jefferson St. is additional classroom and meeting space for the J. Lawrence Connolly Center for Entrepreneurship, primarily located in the neighboring Hopkins House.
